The "Thin Film and Surface Physics Subcommittee, Silicon Technology Subcommittee" of the Japan Society of Applied Physics was held from January 22nd to 23rd, and Prof. Wakabayashi Research, Leader of our center gave an invited lecture.

At Tokyo Institute of Technology COI, we have been developing an Edge AI device for listening to the silent voice of cows, and created the final mockup of the collar-type device "PETER".

Ota R&D Fair 2020 was held online and the webisite will be opened until the end of February 2021.

Associate Professor Takayuki Nozawa of Tokyo Institute of Technology, who is conducting research and development of "Silent Voice of the Field" at our COI, contributed to the December issue of Applied Physics under the title of "Communication captured by sensing of multimodal synchronization".

SDM2020, Asia's most traditional international conference on semiconductor devices and materials, was held online from September 27th to 30th. The event was supported by Professor Hiroshi Mizuta of JAIST, who is a member of our COI, as the executive committee chairman, and Lecturer Manoharan Muruganathan as the executive committee member.

Innovation Japan 2020 online was held, and the website will be opened until 30th November.

EBI Marketing Co. Ltd., has joined this COI.

The Site Visit was held at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. All presentation and discussion were carried out online.

Hatapro Inc., which participates in this COI, has started joint research with Prof. Miki Saijo Laboratory, School of Environment and Society, Department of Transdiciplinary Science and Engineering, and Department of Innovation Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Hiroyuki Ito, an associate professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology who is researching and developing "silent voice of animals" at this COI, has been awarded the "Activity Achievement Award" by the Electronics Society of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
